The Wealth of the Commons

Gustavo Esteva (Mexico) is an activist and public intellectual, the author of numerous books and articles, a columnist for La Jornada (Mexico) and occasionally, The Guardian. He has been actively engaged in the fight for reclaiming the commons, together with indigenous peoples, peasants and urban marginalized. He collaborates with the Universidad de la Tierra (University of the Earth) in Oaxaca, which he helped to found.
